Raw Picnic

It’s time for a raw picnic!  Join Verawnika as she introduces you to creative raw food that is easy to prepare and picnic perfect.  As the weather gets warmer, we tend to turn off the oven and prepare foods that are simple and will keep us hydrated.  Find out why raw food is the optimal choice.  Learn how to plan for and create a delicious raw picnic.  The menu includes:  creamy “potato” salad, refreshing herb dip for veggies or crackers, hearty summer corn and broccoli quiche, and sweet peach parfait.  Learn the benefits of including more raw food in your daily diet as well as helpful tips on how to stay on track.  A raw food tour of the Co-op is also included.  Contact the SNFC for reservations.

Raw Creative Recipes with Glorious Tomatoes

A Class by VeRawnika Clay:

Tomatoes are at the peak of the season!  We will explore the different varieties, colors, and flavors of the glorious tomato with some creative raw recipes.  First, a refreshing tomato-watermelon gazpacho will surprise your tastebuds.  Next, there will be a flavor burst in your mouth from the cherry tomato-basil-mozzarella salad.  A creamy gourmet tomato soup will follow (surprise, no dairy).  The tasty finale will be a hearty open-faced heirloom tomato & cheese tart.  A raw food tour of the Coop is included.
