Juliano's Raw Restaurant in Santa Monica:

I was in Los Angeles last week taking my Mother to the Getty Art Museum.  I stopped twice at Juliano's new Restaurant 'Raw,' in Santa Monica.  I enjoyed it.  The prices were about 1/4 what you would pay at Roxanne's, making the 300 mile drive to LA almost worth it.  I met some raw friends from Orange County there one night for dinner, and took my Mother there the other night.  They have a very open kitchen design which allows diners who choose to sit at the bar to watch the chefs turning out their raw dishes.  I found this interesting.  The restaurant is located at 6th & Broadway in Santa Monica.

The Raw Truth in Las Vegas:

If you travel to Las Vegas you will have 'The Raw Truth Cafe' open in a new location a few miles south of their former location.    They are at the corner of Windmill & Eastern just off I-215. 

Huntington Beach:

I have bought delicious catered raw food from Ursula's 'GoodMoodFood' company which offers a delivery service to most of Orange County.   I recommend her!   She has worked from her home for over a year.   She has recently opened a retail cafe in Huntington.  It is gratifying to see her succeed!

More future events:

May 30-31 are the tentative dates for Victoria Boutenko's "12 Steps to Raw Foods" Seminar.

June 19 -22  Modern Manna's Health & Healing Crusade at Lodi, CA.  (Not an exclusively raw event, but several of our members  attended last year & it was excellent).  This event is free. Featured presenters include Dr. Lorraine Day, Dr. John McDougall, John Robbins, Dr. Neal Barnard, Charlotte Gerson and others.  It is possible to bring a tent and camp at the grounds of Lodi Grape Festival (where the event is held).  This event draws thousands and I highly recommend it.  Official Website.
