Our next Monthly Potluck will be held tomorrow: Sunday July 13 in McKinley Park at our regular location.
Maya Khalsa is offering a short 1 hour lecture on why you should be eating raw foods at a variety of times in the next week in downtown Sacramento. There will be raw food samples and the cost is a negligible $5. You should go! I have already RSVP'd and you should too!
Victoria Boutenko's next Sacramento visit has been officially rescheduled for August 1 & 2. She will hold a dinner on Friday August 1 and a full-day workshop "12-steps to Raw Foods," on Saturday August 2. Full details including location are here.
Speaking of huge raw food gatherings, I have to mention the biggest one of all: Portland's Raw Food Festival, scheduled for August 21-26. Mark your calendars now! Details Here.
Raw Sacramento now has a functioning steering committee. This is going to make our group and our events much better. You can join this group, or, you can attend meetings of the steering committee. Read about it here. The steering committee will meet next on Friday, July 11 at 5:30 at the SNFC dining area (inside or out depending on weather).
Where to get Raw Food in Sacramento? If you read our events page carefully you'll see that we have a monthly potluck usually on the 1st Sunday of the month and on the Fourth Friday of the month. Thursday night support group is suspended until after the vacation season and after Victoria's workshop. But, would you like to just show up & pay for a nice raw meal? As an experiment, we will be trying this beginning on August 17 under the direction of Diane & Larry Walters. More details soon.
The Sacramento Bee Article on Raw Sacramento & Raw Foods is anticipated and will be published around July 30. I will advise when I have an exact date.
